Light Upon the Lotus
The intention for this small healing arts office space was to create a sacred space that harmonized both yin (restful, intuitive, feminine) and yang (active, passionate, masculine) energies. Adding gold and white intentionally honored the clientele that are established and rooted in their spiritual practice, ready to shift to the next level. Adding the wood and plant elements supported the yang energy of the space, which beautifully balanced the soft blue and white. Cozy blankets, textiles, and a dash of terracotta pottery create a comforting and grounding environment for guided meditations. Chairs and storage cabinet were thrifted, helping to stay on budget and remain sustainable.
Sunroom Makeover
This project brought such joy to my client and myself for many reasons. This sunroom was initially cluttered with too many plants and bulky furniture, with more about to come inside for the winter! The goal was to create a peaceful sanctuary where they could enjoy the four seasons, and simplify the plant maintenance. The fun and sustainable part? We used only the furniture and plants that the client already had- only one plant stand was purchased! We focused on placing some of the plants throughout the rest of the home to create breathability in the sunroom, and to add biophilic touches of nature throughout the rest of the house. The rest of the home project is still underway.
